WXN Executive Level Wisdom Group

On February 21, 2012, Dr. Slenders will be facilitating another session of the Executive Level Women's WXN Wisdom Group.

In order to secure and retain the top positions within their organisations, female executives must continually develop and adapt their leadership style. They must also learn how to effectively manage the tension between their devotion to the job and to their personal life priorities. By joining the WXNWisdom Peer Mentoring Senior Executives programme, participants are able to interact with like-minded individuals who face similar challenges. With the support of a personal advisory board of eight to ten women and a trained facilitator, group members gain invaluable insights and differing perspectives, which can be instrumental in long-term career planning and success.

WXN Mid-Level Executives Wisdom Group

Starting April 24, 2012, Wilma will be facilitating a Mid-Level Executives WXN Wisdom Group in Calgary.

Ascending the corporate ladder into senior-level positions requires strategic career navigation, guidance and management. By joining the WXNWisdom Peer Mentoring Mid-Level Executives program, women no longer need to face this challenge alone.

With the support of eight to 10 peers and a trained facilitator, group members are able to further develop the leadership and management skills critical for long-term success. Participants in the Mid-Level program have been working for at least 10 years and hold titles such as Director, Manager, and Associate. For further information, click here.

Agrium Women's Leadership Group

On December 15, 2011, Wilma met with 22 female leaders who are members of the Agrium Women's Leadership Group. Of particular interest to this group of women is how to increase personal and effectiveness as female leaders. Trust is a key element in all business relationships.

Wilma discussed the three key elements that are necessary to have trust: ability, integrity, and benevolence, shared results of her research on CEOs and their trusted advisors and how that pertains to leaders, as well as discussing the 13 behaviors of high trust leaders developed by Stephen M. R. Covey.

Thanks to Stella Cosby, Senior Director of Human Resources for the invitation, and Leslie O'Donoghue, Vice President Operations, for their active participation and role modeling for participants.
