What We Are Working On Now

Here's some things that are on our schedule for 2012. This section will be updated as new items are added.

April 26, 2012 - WXN Women's Wisdom Mid-Level Executives Peer Mentoring Group Starts

Ascending the corporate ladder into senior-level positions requires strategic career navigation, guidance and management. By joining the WXNWisdom Peer Mentoring Mid-Level Executives program, women no longer need to face this challenge alone.

With the support of eight to 10 peers and a trained facilitator, group members are able to further develop the leadership and management skills critical for long-term success. Participants in the Mid-Level program have been working for at least 10 years and hold titles such as Director, Manager, and Associate.

Learning outcomes can include, but are not limited to:

  • Improving self-management and personal productivity;
  • Developing strategic planning skills to manage change and overcome organizational deficiencies;
  • Understanding how to delegate effectively;
  • Uncovering strengths while minimizing limitations;
  • Reducing stress by implementing effective work-life balance techniques;
  • Developing relationships and expanding networks; and,
  • Understanding the steps to career advancement.

By sharing the trials and successes of their careers thus far, participants are able to identify the formula for business success and will leave the program armed with the knowledge and confidence to progress to the next stage of their careers. The meetings are completely confidential and take place five times over a six-month period (for a total of 15 hours). Scheduling of meeting dates is determined by the participants.
